Desc: Children of Apartheid: Directed by Ken Sable. With Walter Cronkite. This was the story of apartheid South Africa as seen through the eyes of the children of that country. Many children were interviewed, but two were the most important. They were the daughters of Pieter Willem Botha, head of South Africa, and Nelson Mandela, activist jailed at that time for his work to rid South Africa of apartheid. The program brought into stark contrast the differences in the lives of whites and blacks in that country teetering on the edge of change.
